Asian Human Resources Fund International Student Special Selection Program “prevention of infectious diseases”
Graduate School of Tokyo Metropolitan University to accept Asian students through the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Asian Human Resources Fund
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) has established the “Asian Human Resources Fund” at the prospect of over the next ten years in order to implement policies aiming at fostering excellent human resources contributing to the development of Asia in the future.
Under the “Asian Human Resources Fund” program, the Graduate School of Tokyo Metropolitan University (TMU), which is run by the public university corporation founded by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, is recruiting excellent Asian students to study at TMU. This program provides financial supports including housing, scholarship stipend, tuition exemption, etc. for enabling matriculated students who passed the special selective examination to devote their full effort to studying and research.
The doctoral program related to the advanced research project on “Development of rapid and high reliable diagnostic methods for prevention of emerging and reemerging infectious diseases” is subsidized by the Asian Human Resources Fund from 2010 academic year.
1.Number of students to be accepted in 2010
Four students in doctoral course (to be accepted for research areas related to the advanced research project on “Development of rapid and high reliable diagnostic methods for prevention of emerging and reemerging infectious diseases”)
2.Period of study
Students will in principle be enrolled from October 2010 until they earn their doctorate degrees (scholarships and other support will be provided for a maximum of three years, until September 2013).
