Asian Human Resources Fund International Student Special Selection Program
Graduate school of Tokyo Metropolitan University to accept Asian students through the Tokyo Metropolitan Government Asian Human Resources Fund
The Tokyo Metropolitan Government (TMG) has established the "Asian Human Resources Fund" to implement policies over the next ten years that aim to cultivate highly capable personnel who will contribute to the development of Asia. The graduate schools of Tokyo Metropolitan University (TMU), operated by a public university corporation established by the TMG, seek talented students from Asia for their doctoral programs which will be subsidized by the Asian Human Resources Fund. International students admitted to the university following a special selection process will be provided with housing, scholarships, tuition fee waivers, and other assistance so that they can devote themselves to study and research.
In the department of Information and Communication Systems, the doctoral program subsidized by the Asian Human Resources Fund is focused on the research area "Advanced Studies on System Design" in 2010 academic year.
1 Number of students to be accepted in 2010
One student in doctoral course (accepting applicants for research areas related to advanced studies on system design)
2 Period of study
Students will in principle be enrolled from October 2010 until they earn their doctorate degrees (scholarships and other support will be provided for a maximum of three years, until September 2013).
