Kaneko Laboratory

TOP PAGE

Kaneko Laboratory, - The Laboratory for Nano/Micro Structure and Device -, at Tokyo Metropolitan University  was establishedin April 2010. The primary focus of our research is the development of nano/micro-fabrication tehniques for applications in MEMS andBio-medical devices. These techniques are mainly based on bottom-up processs such as self-origanization, printed technologies(micro-contact print, transfer printand), material synthesis of metal, semicondutor, and polymers. Our goal is to provide novel Nano/Micro-tools(devices) contributing to the development of advanmced medhical technologies and safe social system. We haveexpertise in surface/interface physics and engineering such as adhesion and wettability to structuarize thin-film, nano-material, andpolymer of materials. The latest research topics are "Transfer-print for MEMS fabrication", "Mciro-actuator using poly-pyrrole for bio/micro-device", "Surface force evaluation and it's applicatiuon to manufacturing",  and "Nano-structured surface as a cell scaffold".
